HMRC Income Tax

ISA PEP-manager
Template of a letter that would be sent to an institution which the deceased held an ISA account requesting that any relevant information and forms be sent to the executor and for the death to be noted on their records. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
Employer

Credit Card
Template of a letter that would be sent to a card issuer requesting for confirmation of accounts the deceased held with them. It requests for a final balance on outstanding payments and for any direct debits to be stopped. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
DWP Jobcentre Plus
Template of a letter that would be sent to the DWP requesting notice of any over or under payments of state pension and requesting no further payments to the deceased. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
Council Tax
Template of a letter that would be sent to the relevant local authority notifying them of the death. Also requesting notice of any outstanding balances and for direct debits to be cancelled. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
Buildings Insurance
Template of a letter that would be sent to the insurance company for the deceased’s property notifying them of the death. Also requesting the status and terms of conditions on the policy. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
Bank or Building Society Initial Letter
Template of the first letter that would be sent to banks and building societies where the deceased held accounts notifying them of the death. Also requesting for all bank accounts to be frozen and for notice of all accounts held, balances on the date of death and details of standing orders and direct debits. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
Utility Providers
Template of a letter that would be sent to utility companies providing services to the deceased’s property notify them of the death. Also requesting notice of any outstanding balances and for any direct debits to be cancelled. This should sent along with a copy of the death certificate.
Bank funeral expenses
Template of a letter that would be sent to a bank or building society where the deceased held an account requesting for the arrangement of a cheque made out to the funeral director covering the cost of the funeral services. This should be sent along with the invoice from the funeral director and the death certificate.
Share Registrar
Template of a letter that would be sent to the Registrar of any shares the deceased held notifying them of the death requesting the continued management of the shares until the grant of probate is issued and notice of the shares value. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
Pension Provider
Template of a letter that would be sent to a private pension provider notifying them of the death. Also requesting notice of any over or under payments, the relevant tax information and for payments to the deceased to be stopped. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
NSI-Initial letter

Mortgage Company
Template of a letter that would be sent to the deceased’s mortgage provider notifying them of the death and requesting the outstanding balance and notice of any life assurance of endowment policy. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
Life Insurance
Template of a letter that would be sent to the provider of an insurance policy owned by the deceased notifying them of the death. Also requesting notice of the policies owned by the deceased, their open market value and how the policy is to be paid out. This should be sent along with the death certificate.
